Yo, thank you so much for doing this and putting this all together. L woulda been one of the greatest of all time, no doubt. It's hard to track down so many of the old freestyles, the rare COC stuff, etc., let alone instrumentals and acapellas. keep doing your thing, and RIP L

Word, thanks for hittin' me up man, I appreciate it.

L still is and always will be one of the greatest of all time. But yeah I know what you mean, he had the potential to rise even higher and become even better.

Some of those instrumentals and a capellas are past rare, they are exclusives made by people on the BigLOnline forums.

And for sure I'll keep doin' my thing, keep doin' your thing by visitin', there's definitely more on the way.

For Children of the Corn material (the stuff without Big L), go to my brother/sister site, biglaffiliates.blogspot.com. Peace.

YO PROPS 2 U MAN THANKS FOR THIS I GOT A REQUEST I WANT THE INSTRUMENTAL TO "Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous" SINGLE PRODUCE BY FINESSE THANKS AHEAD HOPE YOU CAN GET IT!

The Big Sleep said...

Thanks for the comment, yeah I hope I can get it too. We all want that instrumental, problem is that it wasn't ever released so it doesn't exist in any official form as of right now.

It'd have to be created (or dug out of the crates) by somebody, which hasn't happened yet. You'll definitely see it here if anybody makes it or puts it out though. Peace.

Isn't there a freestyle mixtape with actual freestyles not just beats?

The Big Sleep said...

"Even if you already have...Harlem’s Finest: A Freestyle History Parts I & II...you still don’t have everything. These extensive mixtapes contain extremely rare and exclusive tracks. Big L Rarities presents…The Tommy Gibbs Collection!"

No problem, thanks, the collection (and site) has definitely grown over the years. Haha, I guess I go a bit beyond the realm of a fan, I've taken a more hands on approach to appreciating L's music. No doubt, that's what I'm here for, to keep making sure the music is heard. Peace.
